Tension headache

Tension headache, also called stress headache, is the most common form of headache. Most people will experience this disorder one time or more during their lifetime. The seizures last only a short period, but in some cases, the headache will be more frequent and last longer.
Treatment:

The pain is described as a tight band stretched over the forehead and around the head. The condition is more pressing than pounding. The pain seldom starts in the morning but will build up during the day or during periods with much stress. Some will experience a slight dizziness, but no vomiting.

The muscle tension in the neck, head, face and jaw could arise from using the muscles in new ways, based on decreased functions and pain from joints or soft tissues, or from periods with much stress, illness, anxiety and poor sleep.

What you can do yourself:

  • Regular physical activity

  • Avoid stress

  • Good sleeping habits

  • Healthy diet
